Marrying An Asian Bar Girl!

By Dao Jones Some men do turn up their noses at the idea of marrying a prostitute. I understand, even sympathize, but I do think that if you have ever paid a woman for sex you should at least be open to the possibility of falling in love with her. If you're too pure, stingy or sexually successful to have ever paid for sex, then I can't preach to you. I'm not saying that you should force yourself to marry a forty year old 300 pound syphilitic who gives blowjobs in alleys for 50 pesos. But you should remain open. Some people maintain that prostitutes make the best
wives. They have the experience to give you great sex and they're a lot less likely to cheat on you. They've already had all the sexual variety they could want. It's also true that their experiences have conditioned them not to be jealous, especially Filipinos. They take sex much more for granted and don't confuse it with love. As long as they're sure you return their love, they may actually find other women for you. They may even prefer that to you running around picking up any lady off the street and maybe catching the clap which you might pass on to your woman. They can help their friends earn some extra cash and make sure you aren't victimized. It's a viewpoint not often found among middle class Western women. In THE MAYFLOWER MADAM Sydney Biddle Barrows
wrote that she believed prostitutes made bad wives.
Either they grow to hate men or they become
nymphomaniacs. Yet she knows of cases where it
happened. She lost one of her escorts when the woman
reported to a man's hotel room and they fell in love at first sight. Some guys are broadminded enough to let women they're
emotionally involved with continue working as
prostitutes. I am assuming that you do find the idea of your woman putting out for other guys as emotionally painful. This can be true even if it's all in her past, before you knew her, even though you know she had no emotional attachment to those men and she's given it up for you. If you feel her love, accept it and her. You have the best of her, all her love and most of the sex. Be happy. Be Asian in the sense that you don't let yourself think about what makes you unhappy. Be practical, which means be happy, for unhappy people are useless. Think about the wonder and joy she's bringing into your life now. Reason things out to remove your irrational feelings. Is sex evil? Of course not! It's the greatest pleasure in life. Is money? Not if you came by it honestly. So why is it wrong for two people to willingly exchange one for the other? It's not. Dao Jones, the founder of http://www.asian-girls-dating.com is connecting Asian women to Western men in a very unique and succesfull way. Having Healthy Hair

By Donahue Elway Is having healthy hair a difficult thing? Many people try all sorts of products to make their hair look better, smell better and be stronger. But, this can really rack up the dollars if you are not careful. Instead of spending countless dollars on products that promise to deliver beautiful hair, simply take a step back and learn a few basic things that everyone should do. From here, you can learn how to correct the problems you have and how to keep the beautiful, healthy hair once you get it. If you purchase products that are the most expensive believing that they work better than the other, less expensive formulas, you may be wasting your money. First off, take a bottle of the expensive stuff, flip it over and compare the ingredients to that of the less expensive product. What is the difference, the smell of the product? Lets go back to the beginning. If you properly care for your hair, your hair will be healthy and strong. Properly washing your hair is essential. This means using a good quality shampoo and conditioner if needed about three or four times a week. Properly maintaining it is also the key. For this, we mean not over doing the products you put into your hair or having treatment after treatment done to it. If you are continuously perming, straightening, highlighting or bleaching your hair, you are going to damage it. Once hair is damaged, there is little that can be done to repair it. If you go to a good quality salon, you will receive good advice on how to treat your damaged hair. There are relaxers and chemicals that can be used to repair some of the damage. You may need a good hair cut to lose most of it though. It is dangerous to continuously damage your hair though. Trying different products on your own can do more damage than good. It is wise to take your damaged hair to a professional for advice before trying to repair it on your own. The last point to make about having healthy hair is that it is up to you to maintain it once you have it. Abrasive chemicals and dyes can hurt your hairs internal structure. Sure, there are hundreds of different looks you want, but the more changes you make the more damage you can do. It is simply wise to take your hair needs to a professional instead of making changes yourself. You will be happy you did when you avoid all the hair damage you will avoid! Donahue Elway

3rd Anniversary Gift - Boy, I'm in Trouble Now

By Mark Dietzel Your third anniversary is coming up and your mind is racing as you browse countless gift ideas, a new pair of shoes, a tie, flowers, jewelry? Then just like last year and the year before your brain goes into full overload, shuts down and triggers gift shopping procrastination till the last minute when in desperation you grab a cheesy scarf or tie depending on the sex of the recipient. Keeping a marriage for three years can be a tough job. Surpassing every challenge and overcoming obstacles of married life can be quite difficult. Anyone who can reach this milestone should be able to get through finding a thoughtful gift. What gift are you going to choose for your loved one? In your mind, you probably think it must be expensive, or it must be unique. Well a gift need not always be expensive to be appreciated. Remember the old saying It is the thought that counts, While this is very true, we need to clear up one important point, the keyword in that saying is thought. This does NOT mean that you thought enough to get a gift, but instead refers to the thoughtfulness that went into the choosing of a gift whether it be homemade or outrageously expensive. Leather is the traditional 3rd year wedding anniversary. Leathers are known to be strong, warm, flexible and durable as well. it has strong qualities like that of the married couple who has stayed together three years. So with that in mind, lets look at some leather gift ideas. Leather clothing you should check your spouses closet before buying leather clothes. Leather jackets can be appealing to almost everyone. Leather shoes & bags / handbags check your spouses shoe size before buying new leather shoes, be extra careful in choosing handbags, because wives are choosy when it comes to their accessories. You might want to enlist the help of one of her friends in choosing a gift like this. Leather wallets be careful with choosing the wallet for your hubby. Like wives, they can also be meticulous about it. Leather roses - yes you read that right, and yes they are available, just search leather roses on any search engine. Leather belts this is a practical gift. Check out the size of your spouse before buying one. Leather gloves there are many type of gloves that you can choose. This is great for areas with cold temperature. Leather desk accessories check your spouses deck, is it organized? Give him/her a leather desk set to organize his/her desk. Leather briefcase this is the right gift for people on the go or for executives and lawyers. Leather sporting goods - Is your spouse a sports fanatic? Footballs, baseball gloves and a lot of other sports equipment is made from leather. Leather luggage plan to have a romantic out of the country trip? Surprise him / her with a new luggage bag. How To Get The Best Interest Rates On Used Car Auto Loans

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Jim_Johnson]Jim Johnson Nobody wants to pay more than they really have to for what they buy, and that is true of used car auto loans as well. Since the amount that you pay back to the lender is tied to the amount of interest charged, it's important to get the best auto loan rates that you can. Over the course of an auto loan that stretches over 5 - 6 years you can pay out thousands more on an loan that has higher than normal interest rates. So one of your main goals when arranging financing for the car purchase is to get the best interest rate that you can. One of the most important points to realize is that you will almost always get the best auto loan deal by arranging it yourself before you even go car shopping. It may not be the easiest and most convenient thing to do, but getting your car financing lined up in advance can save you lots of money over the life of the loan. A lot of car buyers prefer to just let the dealer arrange the financing for them instead, and by doing that they wind up paying more than they should for that loan. Car dealers rely on this convenience factor and make plenty of money in their finance department as a result. Typically, the dealer writes up your contract with a preferred lender who has an arrangement with them to pay the dealer so much money for every loan that they write through that company, and the dealer can also mark up the interest rate to pad their profits too. Of course, someone has to pay for that extra that the dealer gets, and that is you, the consumer. That's why lining up your own uaed car auto loans in advance is a smart move. Contact your local banks and credit unions if you belong to any, and have them make a loan offer for you. Then go online and get loan quotes from the major online auto financing sites that specialize in dealing directly with consumers. There is always a better loan deal that can be had, so the more you shop the more chances you have of getting lower rates and a better deal. You will also no doubt find that loan arrangements will vary not just a little but sometimes a lot between different companies, so that's why it's good to do as much shopping as you can first. You should also know your credit history, and should have kept any errors off your credit report before you start loan shopping too. The credit score that is in your credit history will decide whether or not you get the best auto loan rates. So keep your credit score high to avoid losing money on future loans. If for any reason, your credit history suffers, get back on track as soon as you can and start paying your bills on time and in full. Often you can turn your credit score around in just 2 -3 years time even after suffering a serious setback. Understanding the lending process and shopping for the best deal on your own puts you in control of your loan arrangements, and that means that you will be a smart consumer that saves money by getting the best auto loan rates possible each time you buy. How To Lose 15000 (minimum) In 30 Seconds Or Less!

By Stephen Thompson The following article was originally included in a Career
Tips booklet Steve published for service leavers back in
1998, and has been adapted as a Serious Wealth Warning
message on the Top Pro website. When you start doing the
math, as our US Cousins would say, it is quite staggering,
indeed frightening, how much money we can lose by doing half
a job on our career change preparation. In particular, having a CV prepared by a cut-price
merchant, or worse doing the job yourself, can prove to be
incredibly expensive and bad judgement in the end. I know
you will be thinking hes bound to say that he wants to
sell me a CV!, but just work the figures out for yourself. Take out a calculator and get your latest salary statement.
Go on, get them now and work it through. Most job seekers take an average of 120 - 180 days to find
a job. Don't take my word for it, ask any employment
consultant or agency. Or use the Governments own figures
(http://www.statistics.gov.uk/CCI/nugget.asp?ID=12). In
terms of lost income, if you earn an average of let's say
50 per day (VERY conservative for Professional Clients),
you would lose 6000 - 9000 over that period. Use your own figures to confirm this. Add to this the cost
Of living through the same period, and then the month
working before you get your next salary injection, and you
are looking at, conservatively, the thick end of 10000 to
15000 (yes, thats ten to fifteen THOUSAND POUNDS) loss to
you and yours in the time it takes to sign up for a quick
and easy resume or CV by one of the hundreds of companies
peddling their wares in the marketplace. It takes about 30 seconds to sign up for these services. If
you make the wrong choice it may take months to get back on
track. First of all, in say 2 - 4 weeks, realisation dawns. The CV or Resume you have bought (or worse written
yourself!) is just not up to the job, just isn't cutting it.
Maybe you spent 40 - 60 getting it done (some companies
charge even less!). Even if you used a credible company that offers a worthwhile
guarantee you will now have to go through the exercise again
and either spend the same or more (if you have got the
message by now) to get a proper job done by somebody else. Or you will go through a rewriting exercise with the same
company that provided the weak CV or Resume in the first
place. In the meantime, of course, the 'ideal' job you were chasing
originally has probably already gone. So now you are
starting the entire process all over again and the clock is
still ticking relentlessly on. No money is coming in. Can you really afford to keep on keeping on? Do yourself and your family a favour. Do the job once. Read
the testimonials here if you are still in doubt: http://www.top-pro-cvs.co.uk/wealthwarn.html and http://www.top-pro-cvs.co.uk/ourclients.html Good Luck! Dog Stew

By Jon Dunkerley Food is a substance that holds cultures together. Common foods unify and define countries and regions. However, a food that one group considers a delicacy,
another group may find offensive. The French have long been called "frogs" because of their taste for the amphibians. The English once were sneered upon
as "beefsteak" because of their trend-setting use of cattle, and in the Philippines at least one tribe is nicknamed "dogeaters." The name Dogeaters has not been confined to the Philippines, however. The summer 1988 Seoul Olympics focused the world's attention on South Korea. One aspect of Korean cuisine the government preferred not to have spotlighted
was the use of dog meat. A dog stew, called Poshintang, is commonly available in restaurants in Seoul and the rest of the country. As an ingredient, dog
is not as ubiquitous as beef is in the U.S.; it is considered to be something of a delicacy. Traditionally, it has been a seasonal favorite, most popular
in the summer. Dogmeat is also purported to be effective as a male stimulant, increasing sexual stamina, even though there is no scientific literature
to support this claim. Even before the Olympics, there was concern that foreign visitors to Seoul might be offended by restaurants offering dog meat. The Ministry of Health and
Welfare ordered measures to prevent such a conflict. In 1986, a ban was placed on the sale of dog meat as an "unseemly" food. The practical result was
that most restaurants in city limits replaced signs offering dog meat with smaller, less conspicuous versions, or they renamed the dish to "health stew."
This did not prevent criticism. "How can a nation that will cheerfully eat its best friend be relied upon to host a small dinner party, let alone the Olympic
Games?" In spite of this kind of pressure, dog meat sales continue. There are plans to open two dog slaughterhouses on Chejun Island, 450 km south of Seoul. One
entrepreneur has opened a chain of dog meat restaurants. China Trading, the company behind the new restaurant chain, estimates there are now about 20,000
dog meat restaurnats throughout the country. It says one restaurant can rack up sales of 10 million won (about US$6020) a day during peak dog eating season
from April to July. In the U.S., the estimated number of animals euthanized ranges from 6-150 million per year. If half of the number is composed of dogs, that leaves a lot
of potential meat to be exported. Legally, the only barrier would be the Animal Welfare Act, a federal law that covers any "live or dead dog, cat, nonhuman
primate, guinea pig, hamster, rabbit, or any other warm-blooded animal which is being used, or is intended for use for research, teaching, testing, experimentation
or exhibition purposes. The USDA interprets the act to exclude birds, rats, and mice bred for research, and horses and other farm animals, such as livestock
and poultry, used or intended for use as food or fiber." It is conceivable that dogs raised as livestock would be excluded as well, once it is established
that they are being raised as food. Another rule governing the trade of livestock is the "Twenty- Eight Hour Law" which simply outlines minimum guidelines for the care of animals as they are
transported to market. There are certain feed, space, and water requirements if the transit time exceeds a twenty-eight hour period. If the dogs were slaughtered
in the U.S., that would eliminate concerns about these regulations. Shipping meat instead of live animals also avoids the problems associated with the
quarantine of live animals. Even though the dog meat market does not seem to be growing at a fast rate, it is conceivable that American exporters could make inroads in a niche market.
The breed of dog that is farm- raised in Korea and China is a large dog similar in appearance to the German Shepherd. It is difficult to say whether the
variety of breeds in the U.S. would be considered suitable choices for the dog meat market abroad. Market research would need to be done. Initially, it appears that there may be enough demand to support dog meat export, however, the impediments must be overcome. The voice of the American citizen
is one factor that should not be underestimated. Grass roots lobbying has great potential to raise public awareness against export efforts. Boycotts of
company family products has the potential to eliminate economic gains realized from coordinated dog exports. Because the concept of sending dogs overseas to be eaten may be distasteful, it is helpful to examine the current status of unwanted dogs to gauge our attitudes
towards the situation. The SF SPCA claims to be the only public animal shelter with a no-kill policy. They euthanize an animal only if it is suffering from an incurable illness.
The policy of other shelters is to "put down" animals if no one claims them after a certain period, which differs in each jurisdiction. The result is millions of pounds of flesh to be dealt with. Some of it enters landfills where it eventually decomposes. A small amount of dogs are buried
in pet cemeteries. The rest are "recycled." Rendering plants process the carcasses for use in dog food and as feed for other animals. "In addition, some 40 billion pounds of year of slaughterhouse
wastes like blood, bone, and viscera, as well as the remains of millions of euthanized cats and dogs passed along by veterinarians and animal shelters,
are rendered annually into livestock feed - in the process turning cattle and hogs, which are natural herbivores, into unwitting carnivores." (U.S. News
& World Report, Sept. 1, 1997 p.23) A good model for export of dog meat is provided by the horsemeat industry. "In the last ten years, more than 3 million American horses have been slaughtered
in the U.S. for human consumption abroad." (http://www.equus.org) In 1994, 105,000 horses were slaughtered in the U.S. Another 35,000 were shipped live to Canada for slaughter, and another 30,000 were shipped live to Mexico
for slaughter (http://www.igha.org) for a total of $66 million. Dividing sales by the number of animals slaughtered for the last ten years shows that each animal produced about $400 in income. Considering that a horse typically weighs 8 times more than a 30-pound dog, there is a certain economy of scale that is advantageous when dealing with
the larger animal. Another interesting feature of the horsemeat export industry is its use of Canada and Mexico as export outlets. This strategy is used possibly because the
slaughter process is less expensive in Mexico and Canada. These countries may also have more beneficial agreements with trading partners than the U.S. http://www.dogsbydunk.com is your one stop destination for premium dog food and premium dog

How Your Cell Phone Can Keep You Organized

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Robin_Meyer]Robin Meyer Some of the hottest features on cell phones include the ability to watch video, take pictures, play music, and access the Internet. People pay money to decorate their phones and purchase ring tones. Yet, features already pre-installed on phones exist that many people dont even know are there. Cell phones have organizer applications that differ depending on the model, but most phones have an alarm clock, calculator, and address book. Here are some practical features on the majority of cell phones that are often over-shadowed by flashier multimedia features: Address Book Allows users to store contact information for people they call regularly or want to stay in touch with. Includes a maximum number of contacts a user may enter. Numbers per each contact can include a home number, cell number, work number, and fax number. Letting users enter several numbers for each contact increases the efficiency of the search feature so each name doesnt need to have several entries for different numbers. If you need someones home number and cell number, you only need to pull up the persons name once to find both numbers. The LG VX3450 phone has an address book that can accommodate 300 contacts as well as nine numbers, an email address, and a note for each contact. The Samsung Upstage SPH-M620 music handset has a capacity of 500 contacts with 5 phone numbers per contact as well as a notes feature, a nickname, Web addresses, and email addresses per contact. Alarm Most phones allow users to set an alarm to go off at a certain time under the condition that the phone must be on. Phones with more extensive versions of this feature have several alarms that can be synchronized with the phones to-do list or calendar and will sound even if the phone is turned off. Calculator Most calculators will add, subtract, multiply, and divide. Some will also perform more complicated functions such as calculate tips and convert currency. Calendar Enables users to track appointments and reminders. Lets you view and manage your daily, weekly, and monthly schedule. The feature may have a reminder or alarm function. The Nokia 6800 is just one of many phones that has a built-in calendar that allows users to see their schedule monthly. To-do List Users can create and manage a list of things to do, and options for this feature differ depending on the model of the phone. Users may be able to assign deadlines to items on their list and sort by order of importance. The Sony Ericsson W810i phone is one of many that has a to-do list feature. Voice memo Many phones give users the option of recording their thoughts or parts of a phone conversation to use as notes when needed. Some phones, such as the Samsung e335, even have the ability to allow the user to record a memo and then email it to someone. Above features sound like they could be useful? These features are already built-in to most phones and are unknown to many phone users. Its likely your phone has most if not every one of the above features, so start saving time and money now: Get to know your cell phone! The Day of Itching Ears

By Cornelius R. Stam For the professing Church the day of theological controversy has passed. Ecumenism is now the word on every tongue. Church leaders appear to have become convinced that the stifling confusion in the Church can be overcome only by all of us getting together, minimizing our differences, and emphasizing those doctrines on which we all agree. As a result, some of the most important doctrines of Scripture are neither denied nor affirmed; they are ignored. But little matter, for the objective now is not to be true to the written Word of God but to see to it that the Church is "strong" and commands the world's respect. Ecumenism, sad to say, has made significant inroads among evangelical believers too. All too seldom do men of God stand up to defend by the Scriptures the truths they believe and proclaim. The theological debate has given place to dialogue, in which two individuals or groups sit down together to discuss their differences and see if there is not some basis for agreement. This appears generous and objective, but too often convictions are compromised and the truth watered down by such undertakings, with the result that the Spirit's power is sacrificed for numerical strength. No man of God can speak in the power of the Spirit when he places anything before the Word and Will of God. Nor can the Church ever be truly united and strong unless she puts God's Word and Will first and takes her place in the world as Christ's ambassador on alien territory (See II Cor. 5:20). But what do the Scriptures say about this new "open-mindedness," this new "let's all get together" trend? OUR LORD'S WARNING During our Lord's earthly ministry He warned His disciples: "Take heed and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees" (Matt. 16:6). The disciples did not immediately grasp the significance of the Lord's warning. Realizing that they had forgotten to take bread with them, they supposed that He referred to the leaven which their bakers used and concluded that the Pharisees and Sadducees were evidently out to poison their food! To correct this mistake our Lord had but to remind them how, with but a few loaves, He had fed five thousand people at one time and four thousand at another. They themselves had taken up baskets full of the fragments on both occasions. Surely, then, He could supply them with food! "Then understood they how that He bade them not beware of the leaven of bread, but of the doctrine of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees (Ver. 12). Someone was out to poison themspiritually! It is doubtful that the Pharisees and Sadducees meant to propagate poisonous doctrines, but in their pride and hypocrisy they were the ready tools of Satan. It was because of the destructive qualities of these doctrines that our Lord had used the term "leaven" to describe them. Where false doctrine is concerned, it takes but a little to do a great deal of harm. Referring to this very thing Paul warned the Galatians that "a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump" (Gal. 5:9). What was so dangerous about the teachings of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees? In general it was that the Pharisees added to the written Word (Matt. 23) and the Sadducees took from it (Acts 23:8). Both were dangerous, and our Lord warned His disciples to BEWARE of both. We do well to take this lesson to heart, for the Pharisees and Sadducees are with us stillthose who add to the Word of God and those who take from it. THE DOCTRINE OF THE PHARISEES "The doctrine of the Pharisees" has held a prominent place in the Church throughout its history. The Reformation did not put an end to it by any means, for still today vast numbers of religious people subscribe to it. The leaders of Christendom have added all sorts of rituals, restrictions, and requirements to God's revealed program for His Church in this dispensation of Grace, and multitudes of sincere believers follow like sheep, instead of searching the Scriptures daily to see whether these things really do belong to His program for our day. Look at the members of Christ's Body. Many have placed themselves under the Law, while others are trying to recover the miraculous signs of Pentecost, or are striving to carry out a "great commission" that is not theirs. They observe holy days, baptism, footwashing, and all sorts of other forms and ceremonies which are contrary to God's program for this dispensation, as revealed in the epistles of Paul. As a result the Church is a Babel of confusion and Satan is well satisfied. How perverse is the heart of man! God reveals the Substance and lo, His people go back to the shadows! He demonstrates the all-sufficiency of Christ's redemptive work and behold, His people continue to observe the rites that pointed to it. Indeed, they add ceremonies which He never commanded at all! In grace God postpones the judgment and the earthly reign of Christ, to offer grace and reconciliation to His enemies and lo, His servants do not even understand and go about vainly trying to "establish His kingdom." They do not deny that we are commissioned to proclaim God's offer of grace and reconciliation, but they add another commission and so confuse the God-given message. They do not deny the all-sufficiency of Christ's finished work, but they add unscriptural and undispensational teachings and forms and ceremonies, and so confuse and adulterate God's clear message of grace. This is "the doctrine of the Pharisees" and it is dangerous. Added error blinds men's minds to the truth. Those who add the so-called "Great Commission" to God's program for this dispensation cannot fully appreciate the glory of our Lord's "great commission" to Paul and to us (II Cor. 5:14-21; Eph. 3:8,9; et al). Those who go back under the Law of Moses or even back to Pentecost cannot fully appreciate the glory of our Lord's finished work or "the exceeding riches of His grace." Those who observe footwashing, water baptism, or holy days cannot fully understand the mystery of God's purpose and grace. These added things hang as a veil before their eyes and blind them to the glories of their position in the heavenlies in Christ as members of His Body. Our Lord charged the Pharisees with "teaching for doctrines the commandments of men" and with "making the Word of God of none effect through your [their] tradition" (Mark 7:7,13). This is being done on every hand today as religious leaders add to God's glorious "grace" program ceremonies and observances which belonged to former dispensations, or which He never commanded at all. This is dangerous to our spiritual welfare and we should "beware" of it. THE DOCTRINE OF THE SADDUCEES But if Satan cannot deceive us with "the doctrine of the Pharisees" he will seek to accomplish his purpose through "the doctrine of the Sadducees." In comparison with the bigoted Pharisees, the Sadducees were the "advanced thinkers" of their day. Not that they did not also substitute human tradition for the Word of God, but they made more of the human intellect and refused to believe certain truths which were supernatural in character. The Sadducees have a host of followers in our day with its emphasis on the intellectual. But our Lord warned His disciples against the Sadducees too. He said "Take heed....Beware" and described their doctrine as leaven because a little of it can spread so fast. This warning is sorely needed today since some sincere Christians, wishing to be intellectual and open-minded, place themselves in positions of great spiritual danger. On the premise that they are mature and are seeking for the truth, such people often spend their time examining all the different viewpoints they can find and so make shipwreck of the faith. We should be careful about assuming that we are mature either intellectually or spiritually. To the puffed-up Corinthian believers Paul wrote: "Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become [take the position of] a fool, that he may be wise" (I Cor. 3:18). "And if a man think that he knoweth anything, he knoweth nothing yet as he ought to know" (I Cor. 8:2). The fact is that we cannot trust our intellects. Surely the sharp disagreements among the world's greatest intellects should teach us this. These disagreements exist because, as the Bible teaches, the human mind, like the human heart, has become depraved by sin. THE THESSALONIANS, THE BEREANS, AND THE ATHENIANS But were not the Bereans commended for listening with open minds to teachings which they had never heard before? Yes, when they were confronted with them. It was the Athenians, not the Bereans, who made it their policy to consider as many viewpoints as possible on every subject (Acts 17:18-21). The strength of the Bereans was that they kept close to the Scriptures. When confronted with some new doctrine, they did indeed give it an interested hearing, but then "searched the Scriptures daily whether those things were so" (Acts 17:11). Had they found anything in Paul's message which contradicted the Scriptures they would immediately have rejected it. And for this God calls them "noble." They were the truly great, the spiritual aristocracy of their day. Too many believers today aspire to be like the Athenians rather than the Bereans. They say they wish to have open minds, and this is good if it is remembered that an open mind is like an open mouth; not everything should be put into it. The Athenians went to the other extreme from the Thessalonians, who would not even consider a new doctrine when confronted with itwould not even consider it in the light of the Scriptures. The Bereans were the wisest of the three. They kept close to that blessed Book, and, when confronted with unfamiliar teachings, immediately subjected them to the test of Scripture. This is the wisest course even if only because we are all limited in time and strength. Obviously we cannot spend a great deal of time looking into the conflicting teachings of men without sacrificing a great deal of much-needed time for Bible study, and in the measure that we do this we are bound to grow spiritually weaker. THE QUESTION OF EXPOSURE There are those who argue that believers cannot be strengthened against error without being exposed to it. Our Lord knew better. He did not invite the Pharisees and the Sadducees to address His audiences. Rather He warned His audiences against the "leaven" of the Pharisees and the Sadducees and kept teaching His hearers the truth. The depravity of the human heart and mind is such that the believer is not strengthened against error by constant exposure to it; he is strengthened against error by feeding consistently upon the Word of God. Exposure to error strengthens the believer only as it drives him to the Word of God. Show me a Christian who is always "considering all sides" and I will show you one who will fail dismally to give the Scriptural answer to false teachingif indeed he is not taken in by false teaching himself. But show me a Christian who spends his time with that blessed Book and I will show you one who, strong in the faith, can easily answer his adversaries by the Scriptures. Paul wrote to young Pastor Timothy: "I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ.... Preach the Word....For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears" (II Tim. 4:1-3). And what was to be the result of this "itching ears" condition, this passion to hear teachers of all schools of thought expound their various doctrines? Hear the divine prediction: "And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables" (Ver. 4). What thoughtful student of the Word will deny that we have reached this point in the history of the professing Church, that the day of "itching ears" is upon us? The desire to "give everyone a hearing," as it were, may seem superficially to indicate spiritual greatness, but actually it is of the flesh and is based upon the exalted presumption that it is safe for me to trust my intellect, even though the greatest intellects have disagreed over the most vital subjects. Where our intellects are concerned we are wiser to heed the Spirit-inspired exhortation of one truly great intellect, the Apostle Paul: "Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ" (II Cor. 10:5). The Apostle Paul did not assume that his followers were mature enough to consider all religious viewpoints. He delivered his God-given message and warned his hearers and readers against false teachings. To the Corinthians he wrote: "But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ" (II Cor. 11:3). Reminding the Colossians of his labor and strife and toil and conflict to establish them in the faith, he warns: "Beware lest any man spoil [rob] you....Let no man beguile you..." (Col. 2:8,18). He did not suggest to the Ephesian elders that it might be big of them occasionally to invite the legalists or the gnostics or some other heterodox teachers in to address their audiences. He rather impressed upon them their responsibility to protect their congregations from false teaching. Read carefully and prayerfully his very words, as found in Acts 20:28-31: "Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the Church of God, which he hath purchased with His own blood. "For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock. "Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them. "Therefore watch, and remember, that by the space of three years I ceased not to warn every one night and day with tears." Even those two outstanding pastors, Timothy and Titus, were warned against the "leaven" of false teaching. The apostle exhorts Timothy: "Take heed unto thyself and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself and them that hear thee" (I Tim. 4:16). This passage explains why some pastors have been unable to save their hearers from error and spiritual shipwreck. Certainly it teaches the danger of false doctrine to both pastor and people. Throughout his two epistles to Timothy the apostle warns his son in the faith against those who "teach otherwise" and exhorts him to "fight the good fight of the faith." How earnestly he beseeches young Timothy to stay close to the Word of God and especially to the Word of God committed to him for this present dispensation: "O Timothy, keep [guard] that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding...oppositions of science falsely so called" (I Tim. 6:20). "Hold fast the form of sound words, which thou hast heard of me, in faith and love which is in Christ Jesus. "That good thing which was committed unto thee keep [guard] by the Holy Ghost which dwelleth in us" (II Tim. 1:13,14). In his letter to Titus the apostle declares that a bishop must be "blameless as the steward of God" (Titus 1:7). "Holding fast the faithful Word... that he may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and convince the gainsayers" (Ver. 9). Never does Paul advise even the strongest, most mature man of God to seek out the doctrines of those who "teach otherwise" so that they may know how to deal with them. He rather exhorts them to keep strong in the truth, ever ready to meet false doctrine with the Word of God. When you are confronted with the familiar sign, "BEWARE OF THE DOG," be wise and keep out of the way. If you ignore the warning and have to flee torn and bruised, that is your fault. Nor can you expect God to protect you from spiritual harm and loss if you ignore His admonition to beware of false doctrine. Do not presume: "I am mature. I will never be confused or overthrown by error." BEWARE! This is the course of obedience. This is the course of wisdom. This is the course of humility. Every believer should remember that "the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God...because they are spiritually discerned" (I Cor. 2:14). It was by the Spirit that our eyes were opened to the most vital truths which confront mankind. Therefore it behooves us to protect ourselves from error and spiritual harm by consistent, prayerful, believing study of that blessed Book of which the Spirit is the Author. Cornelius R. Determining the Necessity of a Business Loan for Women

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Rebecca_Game]Rebecca Game In the past decade, the number of women-owned businesses has boomed, bringing the of businesses owned by women to an all-time high. Defined by the Small Business Administration as a business with an ownership of 51 percent or more by one or more female persons, women-owned businesses are on the rise, ranging from corporate firms to at-home, online retail stores. With the increase in women owned businesses, it is obvious that the necessity of business loans for women are also greater than ever before. Most commonly, women seeking capital to finance their small business ventures tend to consider a loan. Loans are available for women in all types of businesses, ranging from bed and breakfasts and catering, to pet supplies and photography, to craft businesses and consulting. Loans for women entrepreneurs are intended for enterprises in which women are majority shareholders, and in which the business is also managed by one or more women. As with any other business, loans are often required to purchase inventory, to expand or improve a line of equipment, or to build or remodel a building to house the business and its employees. Business loans for women can also be used to help with marketing the business and its products or services to the appropriate target market. Before jumping into applying for a loan, however, determine the necessity of a business loan. Turn to your written business plan, and consider the following factors when weighing out the pros and cons of obtaining a business loan for women. 1. Is the business in need of inventory or equipment?
If the business requires additional inventory or needs new or updated for business expansion, a loan can offer the capital needed to purchase these items. 2. Is the business having difficulty with sales, production or in other areas due to much-needed company updates?
If business can potentially expand and bring in more profits with additional funding, the necessity of a business loan may be crucial for the business to move forward and at the same time, stay competitive with other businesses in the same field. 3. Are there new ideas, products, or areas of service to be expanded upon to increase production and profitability of the business?
The necessity of a business loan can be very high if there are areas in which to expand that require capital. If obtaining a business loan for women can potentially increase profits, and if the loan can be determined to be of low risk to the business and the loan payments fit into the current business budget, the necessity of a business loan for women is probably a positive step in the right direction. Determining the necessity of a business loan for women can also bring other factors into consideration when actually deciding to move forward with a business loan application, including the following positive aspects of obtaining such a loan: 1. The risk in obtaining a loan for a business owned by a woman may be slightly less than that for a business owned by a man.
Not only do some banks and lenders recognize this, but women business owners also enter into loan payments due to confidence of making business improvements through a loan. Women tend to have a different business sense than men, and their non-traditional choices and style of operating a company tends to be successful. This is due to the fact that women simply tend to have a different view on possibilities and opportunities. 2. Many loans are created especially for businesses owned by women.
In some loans, both through the Small Business Administration and through some lenders, the application will focus on the woman's character, credit, experience and reliability rather than assets. Because the necessity of a business loan for women can be crucial for a business' survival, these such loans offer a wonderful opportunity for those women with good credit. Additionally, women with poor credit can also obtain these such loans, though collateral is usually required. 3. Special loans are available for more nontraditional businesses.
As an example, there are loans available for those with young children who wish to create a small, home-based business. Before stepping into a loan, or even applying for a loan, look at everything involved to determine the necessity of a business loan. - Carefully examine and list purchases to be made with the loan. Remove unnecessary purchases from the list, or make a separate list for future purchases in which can be used with money earned by the business, or can be put on a future loan once this first loan is paid in full. - Consider the term of the loan, and make sure that it's not too long or too short for your business' specific needs. If you haven't applied for the loan already, determine an acceptable term based on your budget and needs. - Examine the monthly payments required, or determine a monthly payment to present to the lender that would easily fit into the business budget. Don't try to squeeze in a higher payment in hopes of earning more money with the business due to obtaining the loan. Falling behind on just one payment can eventually lead to financial disaster for the business. Remember, it's difficult to "catch up" on payments once they've fallen behind. - Research the service of the lender. If you've worked with a specific bank or other financial institution for several years and have a good amount of trust in then, it is probably safe to apply for the loan there. Don't apply for a loan with a bank or financial institution that you know nothing about. Do your homework first. The Warning Signs of Suicide

By Michael Russell Have you experienced being told by someone that she wants to end her life? You may not know exactly how to react to it or you may find it absurd. Oftentimes, hearing this kind of statement from someone we know or love will lead us to ask the question, why? For some people, talking about or attempting suicide is actually an overt cry for help. They do not really want to die but it is their way of desperately seeking for help. Yet for some others, suicide is the only way to put an end to their pain and misery. A person may think about suicide but this doesn't actually mean that a concrete action is bound to be executed. Sometimes this only measures the level of distress a person is experiencing in her life and how she views life's worth. There are those who are at greater risk of committing suicide than others. Location can be a factor. Those living in cities are more prone to commit suicide that those residing in rural areas. Age also is a factor. There is a higher tendency of older individuals committing suicide compared to younger people. Women have shown more suicide attempts than men, although there is a higher percentage of men actually committing suicide than women. There is a higher suicide rate also for certain occupations among which are psychiatrists, lawyers, musicians and police officers. Here are the risks factors that indicate a person's heightened vulnerability to suicide: 1. A previous history of suicide attempts can predispose a person to commit suicide again. 2. A family history of suicide makes a person more susceptible to commit suicide herself. 3. When a person makes plans to commit suicide. 4. A person who is experiencing life's loss may be may be undergoing bouts of depression. This could be due to a loss of a loved one, a job loss or a person may be undergoing the painful process of divorce or even not being able to find a suitable life partner. These are instances that can cause depression. When the experiences of depression worsen, this may precipitate into suicide. 5. Physical health problems including debilitating diseases like cancer and AIDS. Also a recent major surgery that renders an individual in severe pain or chronic and terminal illnesses that offer no positive diagnosis and leave an individual helpless and hopeless. 6. Recent loss of a loved one, maybe a spouse and more so if it is a child. 7. When a person doesn't have a social support system; no friends or close relatives to talk to when problems arise and depression sets in. Talking honestly and openly about suicide with the person who has a suicidal tendency may actually help the person prevent suicide. Never take suicide threats lightly. If you know a person who threatens to commit suicide, urge her to seek professional help. If you don't know what to do and say if person comes up to you and tell you she wants to end her life, try these suggestions: 1. Help the person talk about how she feels and acknowledge her pain. 2. If there is a specific behavior that the individual is practicing that needs to be addressed, inform her. It could be an increasing frequency of her drinking sessions to drown her misery or her withdrawal from social functions and being alone most of the time. 3. Urge her to seek professional help. It could be depression that is pushing her to suicidal tendencies. Her depression can be treated with counseling or drug therapy. 4. Show the person that you care and her well-being is important to you. Let her feel that you are there all the way to support her. Offer a message of hope and support and let her feel that you mean it. Three Ways to Protect Your Kids From Identity Theft

By Eden Paul Everyone has heard the stories about Americans whose identities have been stolen. It is not usually a pleasant story. People end up working for hundreds of hours over many years to get their lives and identities back in order. Kids are the new target. They are finding out too late that they will not be getting student loans because someone has already ruined their credit. Some kids are denied the chance to buy their first car. One woman from Nashville stated, "I took all the precautions to fight ID Theft but never once thought about my son becoming a victim until he became one. Criminals don't care if you're 2 or 102, as long as they get what they want. Identity thieves know that you are much less likely to check the credit of a child and that that credit report is monitored less frequently than an adults credit. This allows them to do a lot more damage to a childs credit before they are detected. There are three things that you can do to protect your children: 1. Always get a free credit report each year for each child. This is a simple process that will allow you to verify that nothing unusual has taken place. 2. Sign up for a credit monitoring service. They will contact you if they notice unusual activity. 3. LifeLock services, which are the most effective, puts a lock on your credit so that you or your child are the only ones who can access credit in that name and social security number. This service stops the thieves before they can do any damage and has a million dollar guarantee. Just remember, a child is never too young to have his or her identity stolen. So no matter which method you choose to protect their credit, you will be happy that you took the time to ensure a bright future and a clean identity. Eden Paul is a CPA and small business owner who strongly suggests using resources like LifeLock to protect you and your family. Determine Your Wedding Budget

By Nicole Pittman First and for most congratulations on your engagement!! You are about to embark on a journey of a lifetime, but before you start planning a wedding you must decide on a budget. Wedding budgets are very important; they allow you to decide on the total amount you will spend and how much you are allowed in each category. By setting your budget you also make decisions such as theme of your wedding, formality, location and size. I understand you just got engaged and money is the last thing that you want to think about but trust me it is crucial that you set your budget before you start spending money. Start with an amount of what you believe you can afford to spend on your wedding. Do this before you sign one contract or write a single check. If you are not careful the wedding will plan you and your wedding will end up costing two to three times more than you expected. It is easy to get out of control with the wedding adrenaline rushing through you. You get engaged, you tell your family and decisions begin happening before you have established a foundation, your budget. You want to make sure your wedding is how you always dreamed so in order to guarantee that, start with a solid budget. Here is a budget guideline to help you plan that dream wedding. Referenced from PremierWeddingPlanning.com Reception 50% of total budget
Bridal Attire 10% of total budget
Photography/Videography 10% of total budget
Flowers/Decorations 10% of total budget
Music 5% of total budget
Transportation 5% of total budget
Invitations 4% of total budget
Misc. 6% of total budget Here is an example cost breakdown of an average $20, 000 wedding: Reception $10, 000
Bridal Attire $2,000
Photography/Videography $2,000
Flowers/Decorations $2,000
Music $1,000
Transportation $1,000
Invitations $800
Misc. $1,200 This is just a guideline, every wedding is unique and there are no set of rules. It all depends on the couples preferences and priorities. Some couples may want to spend more on the reception and less on the ceremony or more on bridal attire and modify the floral budget. The variations are endless. The average bride and groom these days are older and more career established resulting in 70% of all weddings today being paid by the couple themselves entirely. If your parents are paying for the wedding or contributing now is the time to discuss budgets and limits. Be realistic and appreciative. If you wish to have a wedding that goes above and beyond what your parents are willing to expense then compromise. You can cut corners without sacrificing quality. By choosing the time of year when costs are lower, by choosing an affordable venue site, finding vendors with special wedding packages, or having a smaller wedding party. If you are paying for your own wedding then you should have a good idea of what you can realistically afford. If your budget is limited then you need to decide your priority vs. cost. You can have a large guest lest with a causal wedding or a small guest list with a big, fancy wedding, you get to decide! Are there Tax Consequences if You Disclaim an Interest in Property from a Trust?

By Michael Pancheri Question: I am the primary beneficiary of a trust set up by my mother and my 2 daughters (ages 27 and 30) are also beneficiaries. The balance of the trust is to be distributed soon and my daughters want to disclaim any interest in it, so it will all go to me. My question is, what are the tax consequences of this arrangement? The total value of the trust is about $250,000. Thank you, L. Answer: Dear L - You are right in thinking that there may be some adverse tax consequences if your daughters disclaim their share of the trust. Although it is not clear from your question, I am assuming that your daughters acquired a 1/3rd interest in your mother's trust upon your mother's death. Generally speaking, when a person is designated as the beneficiary of an interest in property under a will or a living trust, the interest vests immediately upon the death of the transferor unless there is some other intervening condition that must be satisfied. The same is true for interests given to designated beneficiaries under retirement plans (including IRAs and 401(k) plans), annuity contracts, and life insurance policies. There are times, however, when a designated beneficiary doesn't want the interest given to him or her, as is the case with your daughters. People in this situation often think that they can just refuse the interest and that's the end of the story. They feel that way because, in their minds, they haven't actually received anything and, therefore, they don't actually own it. Unfortunately, the tax laws say otherwise. Once the interest vests in a designated beneficiary, the designated beneficiary is deemed to own it. From that moment on, any refusal or disclaimer of the interest by the designated beneficiary constitutes a gift of the present value of that interest for federal gift tax purposes. The gift is deemed to be made to the contingent beneficiary or beneficiaries designated under the governing instrument; i.e., the will, trust, etc. If that's the case, then how would anyone ever refuse an inheritance without incurring a gift tax? The short answer is that, for many years, you couldn't. If there was any consolation in the way the tax laws were written, it rested in the fact that the resulting transfer could be offset by the annual gift tax exclusion. Any excess over the annual gift tax exclusion could be sheltered from an actual out-of-pocket tax payment by the unified credit against gift and estate taxes. Even so, it was still a pain because you had to file a gift tax return and you lost all or part of your unified credit against future gift and estate taxes. In order to correct this problem, Congress amended the tax laws to provide for a qualified disclaimer as part of the Tax Reform Act of 1976. A "qualified disclaimer" allowed an individual to refuse an interest in property without being deemed to have made a gift of the interest. In that case, the individual was treated as though he or she had never received it - so there was no need to file a gift tax return, or to use a part of his or her unified credit, or even pay any gift taxes out-of-pocket. Still, in order to take advantage of the qualified disclaimer provisions, you have to satisfy the following requirements: (1) The disclaimer must be in writing. (2) The disclaimer must be given to the personal representative of the decedent's estate or the trustee of the decedent's trust, or to any other person holding legal title to property to which the interest relates, no later than 9 months after the later of (A) the day on which the transfer creating the interest in such person is made, or (B) the day on which such person attains age 21, (3) The person making the disclaimer must not have accepted the interest or any of its benefits. (4) And, as a result of such disclaimer, the interest must pass without any direction on the part of the person making the disclaimer, and passes either (A) to the spouse of the decedent, or (B) to a person other than the person making the disclaimer. So, Mrs. L, the good news is that your daughters can disclaim their interest in your mother's trust without the transfer constituting a gift to you. However, they will have to meet the requirements set forth above, including the requirement that the disclaimer be made within nine (9) months after the transfer was made to your daughters. I am assuming that is nine (9) months after your mother's death, but there may be other conditions in the trust instrument that actually delay the vesting of your daughters' interests. For this reason, I would suggest that you consult with an experienced estate planning attorney because these requirements are unforgiving. Once the nine (9) month period has expired, you're simply out of luck. Attorney Michael Pancheri is a practicing attorney and the founder and CEO of the Living Trust Network. Following the Building Codes - Deck Railings

By Andrew Caxton Building codes were made to help protect the homeowner, a home purchaser, and any visitors from getting hurt. Deck railings are bound by building codes as well, including the railings height, the distance between balusters, and other details. In Loudon County, Virginia, we find our first deck railing code example. The Virginia Uniform Statewide Building Code must be complied with for any building build in the county. This building code is available for free on the internet and offers many different codes for you to peruse. This building code details the rules for building, including and requirements that are structural, plumbing, mechanical issues, fire codes, and any deck regulations that they may have. This building code will give you guidance on following the law in Virginia. A review of your plans and permits by The Department of Building and Development will let you know if you are complying with the code to ensure that there are no problems further down the road. There are different building codes all around the country, so it is important to check with your local areas building department to find the building codes for your area. You will want to check into the zoning requirement for the area where you live in addition to the building codes. You will also want to get the requirements from the health department. A building permit is a necessity in most areas of the country, too. Some building codes will only allow decks that are a single level and some codes will dictate the size of the joist overhangs. Some building codes will also dictate the additions of hot tubs, roofs, screened porches, or gazebos, as well. You need to determine what the building codes are for your area to make sure that you do not waste your time or money. You may find that the building codes in your area will cause design problems for your deck. If your deck railing has to be a certain height, then you may find that your view is obstructed. The bad this is that this is the law and if you break the law, then you will have to pay the consequences, including fines and court visits. If you really have an issue with the building code, then you will have to find a way to make it work for you-instead of against you. The codes are to keep you safe, but that doesnt mean that you cannot make it more workable for you by choosing different materials or a different design. You only have to be willing to put in the extra time, effort, and research that is may take to get the job done right. The Most Important Thing to Look for in a Relationship

By E. Raymond Rock Good looking, intelligent, personable, self-assured, these are important, but if the most important thing is missing, the relationship could be doomed. Usually we are attracted by physical attributes, the most obvious being gender, but build, height, hair color all of these count too. Then we subconsciously look for things that compliment our deficiencies, and that might carry over in a positive way to any offspring that might result. Its a biological and psychological process. If all of this fits, then emotion takes over in the form of strong desire, and if the relationship proceeds on track, the desire becomes merely an attachment and a clinging if the most important attribute, the one we havent discussed yet, doesnt come into play. Think about when the desire begins to fade, as it will, and when the attachment and clinging becomes no more than a security thing; then what? This is the point when a relationship will either survive or fail, depending on the psychological needs of each partner and how strongly they require sensual stimulations. Approximately 50 % of marriages fail, and the number of failed relationships, although unknown, eclipses that figure for sure. So the question is; what lengths would you be prepared to go to, to insure the survival of your relationship? If I could tell you what was the most important thing in a relationship, and that this most important thing would almost certainly insure your relationships survival, and . . . if it didnt cost any money (and very little time), would you consider it? This most important thing creates harmony in any relationship between human beings. Without it, we sink to our survival instincts of selfish greed, hatred, and confusion about life. This most important thing has nothing to do with religious beliefs or ideals; it is a very human element. We could call it love, however love has many faces, and the love we speak of here is not a love where we might love one but hate another, because that other could easily become you someday. If the capacity for hatred remains inside of us, its only a matter of time before that hatred is turned on those we supposedly love the hatred is too painful to hold inside and must be released, usually on the ones nearest and dearest. This is because the love we thought we had for each other had been no more than lust and attachment, not authentic love at all. Authentic love means that we love everybody. And its not a gushy love; its more mature than that. Its respect, compassion, wisdom all rolled up into one - and that one thing that is the most important in a relationship is . . . "Unconditional Love." The person who has developed unconditional love will love you from a deeper level than merely lust or attachment. This person will love you for the same reason that he or she loves humanity, because they do not set themselves apart from humanity; they are an integral part of it. So look for unconditional love in a person; its easy to spot. And when you spot it, make certain that you can respond in kind. This special love, however, is either in your heart or not, and if it isnt, first acknowledge that it is not there, and then do something about it. To do something about it, begin with sitting quietly every evening for a few minutes and watch the many thoughts that flit through your mind. The fearful thoughts are the ones that keep you from unconditional love, and all you have to do is acknowledge them as you sit quietly and wait for the next thought to appear. Picture yourself on a freeway overpass, and the cars and trucks passing below your thoughts. Dont jump into one and go for a ride, just watch them pass below and out of sight without becoming involved. This is how unconditional love is born, because our thoughts are our selves, and as we slowly distance ourselves from our negative thoughts, we slowly distance ourselves from our negative selves, and when we do that, the hatred we once had for those we dont agree with softens, and we become unconditionally loving. This is the way to the strongest relationship possible its the most important thing. E. Super Cool Beach Theme Wedding Favors

By Chris Ryerson Today wedding have become far removed from the formal and stuffy affairs that they used to be in the past. Many of todays couples like to have a light and fun time instead of the traditional church wedding. Just look at the incredible rise of beach themed weddings and other fun and unique wedding theme ideas out there. To really pull off a fun beach themed wedding from top to bottom it is important to plan your party favors ahead of time. Of course you want your party favors to tie in with your central theme and to be a lot of fun. Here are some simple and fun ideas for beached themed party favors. Flip Flop Key Chain You can purchase cute little mini flip fop key chains from a variety of online sources that specialize in wedding favors. Buy these for cheap in bulk and then spice them up a bit by using craft pain pens. Purchase a few silver or gold paint pens at your local craft store and write the name of the bride and groom and date of the wedding on each of the key chains. Or if you want to give the favors a more personalized flair then write the name of the guests and the date of the wedding. Either way these are so cute you will be sure to have a fun favor that your guests will love. Candles With Sea Shells Why not try buying some beautiful white candles in bulk and then wrapping them up in clear plastic gift boxes and add some sand a few sea shells or a small piece of driftwood to give it a beach feeling. Adirondack Chairs Adirondack chairs are a very typical beach site especially on the east cost but also to some extent on the west coast. These chairs have become synonymous with relaxing at the beach with music playing and a drink in your hand. What a great way to set a wonderful mood just the symbol of these chairs makes you feel more relaxed. You can easily purchase mini Adirondack chairs that are small, cute and perfect for wedding favors. Again you can customize them with a card, wrapping or little personalization ala a paint pen. Mini Sandcastles What says beach more then a beautiful sandcastle? We all have fond memories of building sandcastles when we where children and they have always been a symbol of the beach. So why not buy a bunch of mini sandcastles from an online retailer and spruce them up a bit. You can add some sea shells, ribbon, gift wrapping or any other sort of small embellishment to give them a personalized touch and an artistic flair. There are a bunch of fun ideas and this list could keep going on but really it would never hit the perfect wedding favor for you. The perfect wedding favor for you really needs to come from your own thoughts and ideas. Hopefully the ideas listed here will spark an interest for you and you can start with these ideas and then let your mind wander and take off. Think about ways to personalize the favor and make them have your own touch and feel. Also it can be really helpful to think about what you would like to express to your guests about your wedding. To you want them to remember a fun and light time at the beach or more of a formal beach wedding at sunset feel. Whatever the feeling is you want to communicate this through the wedding favors. Hilarious Lines From Online Dating Profiles

By Scot McKay If you have put any effort at all into online dating, I'm sure that you've read plenty about how to write online profiles, and how NOT to write them. Knowing the basics about that is a good thing, of course, and I've written my fair share on the subject. The truth is that there is a wealth of information our there and help is readily available when it comes to creating terrific, effective online profiles. Yet, you can somehow always count on finding plenty of particularly entertaining material like what follows when browsing profile narratives. All of these are lifted from actual profiles. Enjoy! "I'm a walking, talking dichotomy. I hope you're the same."
After all, opposites attract, right? "I need a man who can full feel my fantasies."
I distinctly remember an email I wrote to this one entitled, "Feeling Full". I don't remember a response. Haha. "The three things I want most in a man are honesty, sincerity and truthfulness."
Great. The three things I want most in a woman are repetition, redundancy and duplication. "I am recently divorced, so I am now at a stage in my life where I am not looking for one night stands."
Well, thank goodness both the marriage and that sort of behavior have come to an end. I wonder if that's a coincidence? "I don't drink beer, but I'll play darts at the bar with a screwdriver"
Be sure to use a Philips. Those pointy ones seem to stick to the dartboard better. "I'll bend over backwards to help anyone who needs it, but I refuse to be a pushover."
OK, so she doesn't need any help bending over backwards, get it? "Attractive, fun, professional woman looking to date the same."
Hmm. Can't help you there, girlie. I'm a guy. "I AM A HAPPY AND HONEST PERSON I HATE LAYS AND TO BE UNLOYAL"
Well, that about covers everything. "I have my B.S. and J.D. I mostly use the B.S. part to do my J.D. job."
Anyone who is divorced can appreciate that one. Thanks for being honest. "A man who does not mind the simple and loving jesters I may send his way."
Nah, I'm good. I'm pretty well stocked up on freaks with funky suits and bells on their hats. "I hate complainers."
Why? We LOVE you. "I am an independent woman and don't need a man to support me, although the ability to do so would be nice."
At least the truth came out early. LOL "I'm looking for someone with as many things in common as me."
And I thought Yogi Berra was married. The more times I read this, the more I laughed. "If you are looking for a true blue type I may be your match."
This woman's first pic was of her posing with a Blue Man Group guy in Vegas-so I guess she wasn't kidding. "I'm a hot box, so this cuddle thing all night is out of the question unless it's the dead middle of winter."
I'm willing to bet that this woman had NO IDEA why she was getting the kind of responses she must have received. "DON'T REPLY BACK IF YOU HAVE PROBLEM WITH DRUGS, ALCOHOL OR IF YOU ARE A FREAK."
OK, I ask you, have you ever met a self-proclaimed freak? "I used to be a great liar... I can smell one a mile away."
Well it's good to know that though you used to be a great liar, the skill set it still finely tuned...just in case. "Im etremly drawn to someone w/ a high level of intelegents."
It's just painful to read this. (See also: "I'm looking for an intelligant man") "By the way guys....there are NOT two 'll's in 'traveling'!"
OK, rule number one: If you are going to obnoxiously correct people who you haven't even met yet, at least have your facts together. See www.dictionary.com for elaboration. "I love the roll of being a mom."
How about a little roll playing? "LOVE WHITE MEN AND LOVE TO PLAY GAMES"
Surely, she means "Scrabble" or "Monopoly". Otherwise, this is a first. "I hate judgemental people!"
There have to be self-esteem issues here. "Just throwing out casts..."
And what did your orthopedic surgeon have to say about that? "This is where I'm suppose to make myself sound interesting so bare with me."
So far, so good. "I spend a lot of time sending polite emails, turning people down. Most of them appreciate that I did that."
On second thought, never mind. LOL "Are you looking for a fun loving, beautiful woman with her act together? Well, good luck!"
What made this funny was that it was the very last two lines of her profile. "Strong indepented woman not afraid to admit she needs some one to LOVE her."
That pent-up independence is demented stuff, isn't it? "About him? He will hear my call a mile away. He will whistle my favorite song. He can ride a pony backwards. He can flip pancakes in the air. He'll be marvelously kind. His favorite shape will be a star. And he'll have one green eye and one blue." You know, it seems that all the guys with one green eye and one blue eye whose favorite shape is a star and who can ride ponies backwards are always either married or gay, doesn't it? Ironically, I do actually know a guy with one green eye and one blue eye. But last I checked, he didn't have riding ponies backwards down yet. Besides, he's married (of course). Want to hear more? Bananas: The Best Fruit Ever

By Michael Russell Bananas, arguably the most distinctive of all fruit because instead of coming from a tree like other fruits, it comes from large plants that are of relation to the orchid and lily family. Bananas are a perfect part of anyone's diet, since to maintain a healthy lifestyle, one should meet one's daily requirement of five fruits and vegetables. It's no wonder bananas are one of the most popular fruits in all of America. They provide a source of energy and they are available year round. Similar to other fruits and vegetables, bananas do not contain any sodium, fat, or cholesterol. With bananas being a part of a healthy balanced diet, one may reduce the risk of certain types of cancer as well as heart disease. Bananas are also a good source of potassium, magnesium, vitamin C, fiber and are rich in vitamin B6. Vitamin B6 is important because a lack of it can cause insomnia, weakness and irritability. Potassium is important for helping muscles flex and bend properly during active work and it also reduces the chance of cramping up. Potassium may also help in reducing the chance of high blood pressure and stroke. It regulates blood pressure. An average-sized banana obtains about 400 mg of potassium and contains 110 calories with 4 grams of fiber. On top of being easy to digest, they also contain many carbohydrates, one of our main sources of energy. Even those who get sugar cravings can be satisfied with a banana as its great taste can be a substitute for unhealthy sweets such as candy bars and gum. The banana even provides it's own wrapper with its peel, just like any other kind of tasty sweet. However, the difference is that it is healthy. Bananas may also naturally help people overcome depression, as research shows that serotonin and norephinephrine exist in bananas. Bananas also are great for babies. There's a reason why bananas are often the first food that's solid given to babies. They are easy to digest because they don't have fat and not many babies are allergic to them. The taste is also great and the amount of energy provided is great for kids that are growing up. Yellow bananas are selected for eating and green ones should be used for ripening or cooking. Ones with brown specks should be used for baking cookies, bread and muffins. As they ripen, the starch in bananas turns into sugar, which makes them taste sweeter and sweeter. They're also great as a side dish for foods like cereal, salads, smoothies, shakes and yogurt. Bananas should be stored at room temperature until they reach the ripeness that you prefer. Once that happens, you can put them in your fridge for storage. The banana peel will get darker in the fridge but the banana itself will still stay perfectly fine and tasty. One way to ripen bananas faster is to put them in a brown paper bag overnight. It works well with other kinds of fruit too. Michael Russell

Am I Abnormal? Kids' Concerns About ADHD

By Angie Dixon When I first started giving my ADHD medications at about age 7, I didn't talk to him enough. He got really worried and asked, "Is something bad wrong with me?" That's when I realized that because ADHD kids are unusually bright and perceptive in many ways, it's important to sit down and talk about what's going on. My ADHD son was worried that he might have a brain tumor or something bad like that. I assured him that he had an illness, and that while something was different in his brain, it was not something "bad." I explained what ADHD is and how it makes his brain function differently. Because I have ADHD myself, I was able to explain that we have "different" brains and that he got his ADHD from me and that I turned out just fine and so will he. Some ADHD kids, though not mine, worry about being "weird" or abnormal because of their ADHD. I assured my son that he's a little different, but that's a good thing. The main thing is to find out what your ADHD child is concerned about and address that particular concern, whether it's fear of a brain tumor or not wanting to take medication. The best way to talk to your ADHD child is just to ask what's worrying her and discuss those things. Angie Dixon is a writer and ADHD mom of an ADHD son, Jack.
